Fall Festivals & Events

Fall also brings some of Elkin’s biggest events of the year. The Milltown Get Down Music Festival returns to downtown Elkin Oct. 9–10, bringing two days of live music and plenty of reasons to spend the whole weekend in town. With performances happening in the heart of downtown, it’s the perfect time to explore local shops and restaurants between sets and experience Elkin at its liveliest.

Fall is also one of the best times to explore the wineries surrounding Elkin. As the temperatures cool and the leaves begin to change, spend an afternoon sipping local wine, taking in vineyard views and enjoying live music at tasting rooms throughout the Yadkin Valley.

Later in October, families can celebrate Halloween downtown with Trick or Treat Main Street, another favorite fall tradition in Elkin.
